Lady Bug Release

Our community we live in has so many cool features I will probably never be able to tell you about all of them, but one we find pretty fun is the rented garden plots.  Instead of having a garden in your back yard they have about 4 different areas throughout the neighborhood designed especially to grow a garden.  You can rent the spots each year and they take care of the watering and such while you just have to stop by to check your food as it grows.  It is a great idea and even though we didn't get here in time to do it this year we will probably do it next year as we love to garden. 

So in order to help their garden areas every year they release thousands of lady bugs into the gardens to help them grow and fight off the bad bugs.  the girls entered a coloring contest about a month ago and they both won so they both won a big bucket full of lady bugs and were one of a few that got to release the lady bugs.  We were so proud of them and they both worked so hard on their pictures so it was great they both won!
