The last weekend in April we headed down to California for Uncle Don's wedding to our new Aunt Jessica. Because this was going to be a quick trip for us we decided we would fly, which does not happen often with 3 kids. Of course we had to deal with the anxiety of Madelynn for about a month before (you would have never known she flew as much as she did when she was little because for some reason she was terrified of it now). It got to the point we debated on cancelling on our flights and just driving, she was border line a nervous breakdown. But as we approached our big day and mentally prepared for her reaction, we were surprisingly let down and did not have any drama to deal with. The kids did wonderful on the flight and as we landed in California Madelynn gave us a "See mom I told you flying isn't bad - it was so fun and much faster!"
At this point we can just smile and forget about the heartache from the past month - That is why we love our Madelynn so much she keeps us busy. Now the kids want to fly all the time, one day they will realize the difference in price and that flying is only for special trips - we will start to save again for our next adventure.
