Our First Camping Trip as a family

Our move to Salt Lake has allowed us to do things as a family that we probably would have never done.  Most of it being outdoor activities, but they just fit our family so perfect.  We decided it was time to maybe take up the camping scene, beings it is expensive to take a family of 5 on vacation so camping might be more our cup of tea.  We were so lucky to have our sister and brother in law, Kim and Ross, give us some amazing camping supplies and we definitely didn't waste anytime putting them to use.  We had an amazing weekend and the kids acted like they were pros and had camped before.  We had a few minor issues that luckily we were close to home (only 45 min away) so we had to make a few trips to repack some things but we made it and everyone had a great time.  The kids bathed in the river, we cooked our food on a bbq all weekend, we slept in a tent, we chopped fire wood, and we ate a lot of junk food!  A perfect weekend if you ask me oh and also we had not tv, our cell phones only worked sometimes and it was amazing weather.  We also saw a deer and 3 moose during the weekend which was extremely fun for the kids.
