I tried something this year since we didn't have all the friend and family around to keep us busy during the holiday season that worked pretty well for us. We made an advent calendar for something to do each evening starting in December...a few things we did - Family Movie Night, Make ornaments, make cookies, make gingerbread houses, etc. It was an action packed month and sometimes I feel like I put a little too much on our plate by trying to keep up but the kids loved it and made sure to check the calendar every morning when they got up as to what we were going to be doing. I will for sure do it again next year and it also created some great memories for us as a family since we did all the activities together!!
