The girls took their first field trip to the fire station last Wednesday! The girls of course had to act shy and not really get too involved but it was fun to watch some of the kids just fall in love with the fire trucks and all. There was one thing that I have just been so impressed with since we left. When we were there they made one of the fireman put on all of his gear that he wears when they go to a fire and showed the kids what he looks like if he was to come to rescue them out of a fire so they would not be scared of a fireman. I had never thought about that before how scary they probably look to a little kid with their mask on and all, so it was very important for the kids to see him like that and hopefully remember if something was to ever happen. Always learning something new :) Anyways field trip was a success and the girls got their fire hats which have gotten great use. Madelynn is still wanting a fireman suit and boots, hopefully she forgets soon!
