We had a busy 4th of July weekend this year. I got back from Madison on Thursday night and our fun started Saturday morning. The first event we went to was a neighborhood bike parade - the kids loved it, the adults thought it was pretty cute - overall a success. The girls decorated their bikes on their own with some minor help from mom and dad and Jacob just tried to undo everything they did. Jacob was a great spectator for the event even though he wanted to be right in the middle of it all.
After our wonderful bike parade it was in for a quick lunch and a good nap! We had plans for the evening for a dinner party and celebration with some wonderful friends. The girls got to hang out with girls that I watched when they were little so it was so fun to see them hang out with my kids! We swam had a wonderful dinner and lots of drinks with awesome friends!
4th of July was actually a little more relaxing I took the kids swimming while Matt and his buddies golfed and then we followed up with a BBQ at my brothers place and then fireworks back home. All in all it was a pretty good day of doing things we love. hanging out with family and relaxing in the nice weather.
