I am probably not the best person to be writing about Auntie Lorie because I know that I don't know the half of how amazing of a person she was but the time that I did know her I quickly learned how wonderful she was and how much she cared about everyone around her.
Auntie Lorie passed away on January 21, 2010 around 10:00 am very peacefully while she was resting. She is going to be greatly missed!
She was the most genuine person I have ever met and it never failed every time we saw her she had a great smile on her face. I will never forget how sweet she was to each of our kids she treated them and loved them as they were her own. We are going to miss her weekly hand written letters to update us on what was going on in California and her weekly phone calls to tell us hello and see how everyone is doing. She never held back how much she cared and loved us all. I will always wish my kids were old enough to have some wonderful memories of her because she was someone everyone looked up to. Matt and I will do our best to tell many stories of her and try to explain to them how wonderful she was.
I know our girls have one great memory of her and that is the baby dolls she gave them to put up on their shelf in their room. These dolls are amazing and you can tell she cared for them greatly, but knew it would be the key to Madelynn and Kaylee's heart and so greatfully gave them a couple dolls.
Auntie Lorie had a great love for outside and flowers. Every time we went to see her it never failed we would sit outside with her and talk about all the different flowers she was growing. It was amazing and she definitely had a touch for it, she could make anything grow and blossom.
Auntie Lorie was an inspiration to everyone that met her and she is going to be deeply missed, but we know she will always be with us and looking over us!
WE LOVE YOU AUNTIE LORIE
