Christmas Day

Well of course we plan so hard and put so much effort into Christmas and before you know it is here and gone.  It is almost depressing the day after Christmas because of the anticipation it builds and then it is gone so fast.
Santa stopped by our house and of course spoiled the kids.  It is amazing though that at such a young age Santa seems to struggle with gifts for the kids because he feels they have everything and more.  When you are walking down the aisle of any toy store and you can point to more than 50% of the toys on the shelves and tell yourself that your kids own more than that - there seems to be a problem.  But Santa seemed to do pretty well and the kids were excited.  The girls got a new piano and some luggage and Jacob got a ball pit.
For the 3rd year in a row Matt and I were up before the kids and even woke them up to tell them Santa had come - always a kid at heart!
We enjoyed our day at home with the kids and letting them enjoy their toys and tearing up the house.  And then in the early afternoon we made it over to my parents house for a wonderful meal and more presents for everyone.
Yes we all got spoiled and had a great day!  The kids were a lot of fun and really enjoyed all the excitement for the day.  And honestly I have to say they all behaved pretty well for everything that was going on and the running around.
We definitely had a wonderful holiday season this year and started some great traditions with our growing family.  It was so nice to have a nice relaxing schedule and be able to enjoy our family.
Thanks to everyone for making our holidays a great one this year!!!!
