As I sit here and reflect on a day we so look forward to it is crazy how fast it is here and gone. It reminds me even more to cherish the time we have together. My back was still out and I was giving it all I had to make sure I got everything done that needed to be done for the day. I was even trying to get a few extras in like making home made dog bones (what was I thinking) and some different goodies for that evening and Christmas day. The seemed to fly by and soon we were getting ready for church...Or let me rephrase that I was getting us ready for church Matt was taking a nap. The girls got to wear their Christmas dresses and Jacob even got a new outfit for this occasion. I had some fun trying to coordinate 2 girls and a boy but honestly it wasn't as hard as I was anticipating. Church was wonderful and the kids all behaved like angels. After church we made our way up to Aunt Lori's and Uncle Chuck's house...this is an old time tradition that we kind of lost for a couple years but was very nice to pick it up again. We had a fabulous dinner and some great family time and soon I was begging to go home. My back was killing me and we still had to make sure Santa was ready to bring his gifts, not to mention the last minute clean of the house so that we could make a complete mess of it in the morning.
Overall Christmas Eve was a success and a pretty relaxing day to say the least.
