Happy Birthday Grandma

Grandma "Bum" (as the kids call her) turned 88 while we were down in California and we were lucky enough to spend the day with her on her birthday.  It was a great evening we had with them.  We miss them so much being so far away.  The kids had a great time being up at their house in Twain Harte and playing with all the old toys that have collected up there.  There are no pictures of the girls below and I am not sure how that happened but they were there just upstairs playing the whole time while Jacob entertained us.  He loved playing catch with Grandpa and Grandpa enjoyed it even more.  He was a hoot watching him play with their stuffed dog they have he thought it was real and would wrestle with it and bark at it!  Grandma had a good evening for her birthday...we went to dinner at a great Italian Place and then ventured back to their house to have cake and the girls bought her some flowers.  It was so nice to sit and visit with them and let them enjoy the kids.  It is amazing how we can pick up right where we left off the last time we saw them.  Being on the quick trip that we were we were only able to spend one night with them and then had to head towards the wedding the next day.  We always have a hard time saying good bye to them, we shed a few tears as we leave town and think about all the great times we have with such wonderful loving people they are.  Until next time we will just enjoy the pictures we got while we were there and the big smiles on Grandma and Grandpa's face while playing with the kids!
