Trip to McCall

A couple weekends ago we came across a couple days we had nothing going on and for once Matt didn't have basketball practice so we decided to take a quick trip up to the mountains to get away from everything and relax with the kids.  We enjoyed being together as a family and having nothing else around to occupy our time or our attention.  It was beautiful up in the mountains, leaves were changing colors, fresh mountain air, weather was amazing, and there was no one up there (Boise State football had a home game so everyone was down in Boise).  It couldn't have been better.  We played at the beach for awhile, played in the water fountain, ate lunch outside, swam at the hotel, ate fried chicken for dinner in our hotel room and then followed up with a trip to the ice cream shop for our night snack!

On our way back to town on Sunday we stopped by my Grandma's cabin to show the kids.  It was a weird feeling to watch them run around in the yard and play in the rocks and it seems not long ago I was doing the same thing as a kid.  I don't know how my parents did it - they got so dirty so fast I was just on edge the entire time, dirt drives me crazy!
